Danny Sapani named patron of tiata fahodzi

08 01 2016

British actor Danny Sapani has become a patron of British African theatre company tiata fahodzi, and joins existing patrons including Sir Lenny Henry.

Sapani commented 'As an actor, I worked with the company at the Almeida for the tiata delights festival in 2008 and now, in 2016, I'm proud to return as a patron. Under Natalie Ibu's tenure the company reflects the mixed experience of Britain's African diaspora. I'm a British Ghanaian with a Jewish wife and Afro-Eurasian and Afro-Jewish children. My mixed experience - like that of so many others - is recognised and celebrated through tiata fahodzi's work'.
